- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 large garlic clove minced (or about 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder)
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
Gradually add the olive oil while whisking continuously until the dressing is well combined and emulsified.
Transfer to a jar or airtight container and store in the refrigerator. Shake well before serving.
Notes:
- For a smoother dressing, you can blend the ingredients in a blender. However, whisking by hand creates a slightly thicker texture, which some prefer.
- Adjust the sweetness or tanginess to your liking by adding more honey or balsamic vinegar, respectively.
- The dressing will keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.
